Call for Interest: Youth Representatives for the Volleyball NT Board
Volleyball NT (VNT) is looking for young volleyball enthusiasts to join its Board of Directors. Volleyball NT hopes that youth involvement at this level will help ensure our organization is meeting the needs of young people across the NWT, while also developing future leaders for our sport. Youth Representatives will provide a valued perspective to Board decision making and youthful energy to volleyball activities.
Ideally, Volleyball NT Youth Representatives are between the ages of 14 and 18, attending school, and are involved in volleyball in their communities.
Those selected would be expected to participate in a monthly Board meeting.
Volleyball NT hopes that selected youth would be also interested in volunteering to help with activities of the Board (helping plan and run tournaments, for example).
If you are interested in representing your peers as a Volleyball NT Youth Representative, please send an email by December 10. Provide your name and age, tell us how you are involved in volleyball in your community and why you are interested in this position. If you’ve got special skills that might be of interest or that would add value to the Board, let us know that too.
